Several international airlines have suspended flights to Riyadh following attacks on King Khalid International Airport, with hundreds of flights canceled or delayed across Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation has extended the closure of King Khalid International Airport by another 24 hours due to security concerns. According to a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), the airport will remain closed until midnight on Monday.

Authorities said the extension was necessary to inspect the airport's radar and communication systems.

The disruption has prompted several major airlines to temporarily suspend flights to Riyadh. Lufthansa Group has extended its suspension until October 16, SriLankan Airlines until October 18, Akasa Air until October 13, and Air India and Air India Express until October 15.

Other affected airlines include Etihad Airways, flydubai, Emirates, Air Arabia, Kuwait Airways, Turkish Airlines, IndiGo, and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
