The Punjab Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department has rolled out the 'Himmat Card Scheme 2026' as a flagship social safety net program honoring the dignity and welfare of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across Punjab.
Under this humanitarian program, individuals assessed with functional disabilities who are unable to engage in conventional employment receive a direct cash transfer of Rs. 10,500 every quarter. The funds are disbursed through co-branded ATM debit cards issued in partnership with the Bank of Punjab, allowing beneficiaries to withdraw cash seamlessly from any 1Link ATM without standing in exhausting queues.
In addition to cash support, the initiative provides mobility aids, artificial limbs, motorized tricycles, and digital assistive devices to support independence and civic participation.
The accelerating pace of technological innovation is fundamentally reshaping industries, enterprise workflows, and developer productivity across the globe. From generative AI models and automated code generation tools to edge computing devices, modern software architectures are democratizing technical enablement and lowering the barrier to entry for creative professionals.
In Pakistan's rapidly expanding IT services sector, the integration of advanced artificial intelligence tools is driving measurable improvements in software delivery speed and offshore client satisfaction. Industry leaders point out that companies embracing autonomous developer tools and cloud intelligence are significantly outpacing competitors in software exports, digital marketing, and business automation.
