The rumors surrounding Xiaomi's next-generation flagship have finally been put to rest as official leaks confirm the existence and key specifications of the Xiaomi 17 Max. This device is being positioned as the ultimate powerhouse, addressing two of the most critical demands of modern smartphone users: battery life and photography. The highlight of the device is undoubtedly its gargantuan 8000mAh battery, which is significantly larger than anything currently offered in the flagship segment.
To complement this massive battery, Xiaomi is introducing 200W wired fast charging, capable of taking the device from 0 to 100% in under 25 minutes. Wireless charging has also been upgraded to 100W. This level of power management ensures that even the most demanding power users can go through two full days of heavy use without needing to reach for a charger.
In the camera department, Xiaomi continues its partnership with Leica. The Xiaomi 17 Max features a triple-camera setup, led by a 200MP main sensor that uses advanced pixel-binning technology for exceptional low-light performance. The secondary lenses include a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom. The integration of Leica's color science and lens optics aims to provide a professional-grade photography experience in a mobile form factor.
